Senior Backend Developer (Web3)

We are collaborating with a global leader in tokenised fine wine, a client who has successfully connected over 210 elite producers with collectors and top restaurants worldwide. Building on their established foundation, they are launching a next-generation trading platform designed to fix the inefficiencies in a market projected to reach $25B. This new platform, powered by blockchain, promises to bring unprecedented speed, transparency, and fairness to the industry.

To turn this ambitious vision into reality, they are searching for 2 Senior Backend Developers to craft the elegant, intuitive user experiences that will define the future of digital wine trading

What You’ll Do

• Design and build high-performance backend services using Bun, TypeScript, and Elysia.js.
• Architect and maintain complex database schemas with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM.
• Implement blockchain integrations for NFT marketplace operations, provenance tracking, and Web3 features.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Drive technical decisions around architecture, scalability, and performance optimisation
• Champion code quality through testing, documentation, and thoughtful code reviews

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including complex queries, indexing, and performance optimisation
• Strong understanding of REST API design, error handling, and validation patterns
• Experience with AWS services (S3, EventBridge, Secrets Manager, ElastiCache) and infrastructure design (Terraform)
• Solid grasp of testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) and quality assurance
• Hands-on Web3 experience (e.g., Ethers).
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
